Tell Me You Love Me Release-Book Review
Twelve young Christian authors have come together, alongside romance novelist Grace A. Johnson and editor Issabelle Perry to show our world of depravity and cheap imitations of romance what love really means: faith, hope, and sacrifice.
These stories range from contemporary YA to historical to fantasy, and tell diverse, unique love stories that compel, captivate, and warm readers’ hearts with their sweet and authentic nature.
Featuring work from Michaela Bush, Saraina Whitney, Karynn Heckler, Margaret Copeland, Lucia Molano, Sarah Lawton, Brooklyn O’Brennan, Mackenzie Hendricks, H.S. Kylian, Lydia M. Jupp, Katherine Perry, and Amelia Cabot, the Tell Me You Love Me anthology is the collaboration of talented and inspirational young writers you’ve been waiting for!
Every single story in Tell Me You Love Me was a beautiful, creative, unique romance. <3 All of the authors did an amazing job portraying their idea of what "I love you" means in their stunning stories! I also enjoyed the different genres (such as historical, fantasy, contemporary, etc)! The last thing that I absolutely loved about this anthology is that it barely has any content! While there are a few things (such as a little bit of mild violence), nothing bothered me and I would say all of the stories would be rated G/PG if they were movies 😝. And the most important thing is that the romance is squeaky clean! Unlike many romance books these days, the romance in TMYLM is pure, sweet, and just adorable at some points! *goofy grin*
I adored every single one of the stories but the few that I seriously enjoyed were...
"Until You Call Me Yours" by Mackenzie Hendricks
For its emotional plot and theme of finding love as you face hardship with others. <3
"His Freedom Over Mine" by Amelia Cabot
For the ending. It was a total surprise and somewhat depressing/sad but man...*sniffs* it was incredible.
"As Beautiful as the Stars" by Karynn Heckler
For its theme of looking past the outward, physical aspects of a woman to see her true, inward beauty.
"He Wanted My Heart" by Katherine Perry
For the epic plot twist, fun Easter egg, and fairy-tale setting!! 😍
"Old Time Devotion" by Lucia Molano
For the fact that the two main characters were older. I loved that. We seriously need more romances with older couples. <3
"To Be Loved" by Saraina Whitney
For its beautiful themes of sacrifice.
Overall, this anthology gets five shining stars! I can't recommend it enough! <3
