A Month in Review-August 2022
August...had its ups and downs. But I would say there were more ups than downs. 😉 Some pretty major things happened, and even though sometimes it was stressful and I could have probably handled things better 😅; overall, transitions went smoothly and I'm looking forward to see what comes out of them in the next couple months. :)

Writing
~UM I WENT TO THE 2022 YDUBS CONFERENCE. 🤯😍 It. Was. Amazing. I learned so much about writing, met some amazing people, and overall, had a fantastic time. <33333
~Worked more on my 100-for-100 WIP...but I'm kinda starting to burn out on it a little (*coughs* the cause of the burn out may or may not be because I went to straight to drafting and didn't outline really at all and now I'm...having to rethink some things *coughs*) but there's only about two weeks left in the challenge so I'm gonna try to make it! XD
~*Ahem* Long story short, I was talking to this guy and mentioned that I liked writing. A little bit later, we were in a group and one of us had to make up and write down a definition of a word and that same guy was like "you wanna write it down since you're a writer?"

That was like the first time anyone outside of my friends and family acknowledged that I was a writer and it honestly caught me off guard and surprised me and it was just so nice. At that moment...I really did feel like I was a writer and it was just super encouraging.
AND THEN later that night I was talking with a friend/life coach-ish/leader and I was telling her about one of my plot bunnies and even though I was describing the plot really badly since I haven't outlined it yet she loved the idea and already wants to read it. Her interest in it encouraged me again and it was just an awesome day. <3
Life
~Felt loved on by a lot of people this month. If you're one of those people who sent me a sweet message, thank you. <33 You made this month amazing.
~Watched Sing 2. 😂 It was really good, family-friendly, and super clean. Totally recommend watching it!
~I. Tried. Sushi.
*mindblown*
Y'ALL. I TRIED SUSHI. I never thought I would try it. Honestly, I just never really wanted to try it because the thought of eating raw fish and seafood kinda grossed me out. BUT one of my friends had some, and she gave me a piece. So I plopped it in my mouth and ate it...and it was the most interesting thing I had ever eaten. In a good way though! It was all cooked (thankfully...if it was raw seafood I don't think I would have had it) and there was rice, a piece of shrimp, I think a slice of cucumber?, some unidentified orange sauce on top XDD, a lil soy sauce, AND a piece of seaweed! Yep. This girl had seaweed. I couldn't really taste it that much, but I think it was good!
And that's not all! The next day I tried a fig for the first time! Honestly...it wasn't my favorite. It was okay, and it did kinda taste like a plum (and I love plums) but the inside was super mushy so I think the texture wasn't my favorite. But it wasn't the worst thing ever. So overall, I'm pretty proud of myself for trying those foods and not being picky. 😜
YAAAASSS that sushi was bomb! Lol, both of the "Sing" movies were hilarious! The only books I've read recently were "The War Below" and I'm almost finished with "To Kill a Mockingbird". HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND the latter!!!! It's SOOOO GOOD *starry eyes* Anywaaaays, I'm glad you enjoyed your month. Hopefully September will be just as amazing! I mean, of course it will be, because I'm here *smirk* XDDD <333
